[imc-dc-tech] Cookie problem?

Spud,

DC IMC folks are having intermittent problems across multiple problems and
platforms.

It happened to me, once, on OS X w/Firefox 1.5FC3 too -- but it's happened
on Windows, on Mac, with the AOL browser (I forget what that is these days,
in version 9), in IE, in Firefox 1.07, in older versions of Firefox, in
Safari.

Here is what happens:

People log in, and get their login state confirmed by noting in the box on
the left side that they are recognized.

They go to post a new story or a link in the otherpress and they're logged
out. They log in, right there and then and get returned to the front page
upon submitting the login button and go back to the form they were trying to
use -- and find themselves logged out again.

I had not been able to duplicate it for days. Last night I met

It happened to me for a bit this morning... but then it stopped, I couldn't
say why, (I didn't do anything special -- no force refreshes, etc), and I
got two more notes of it. I've had screenshots sent to me to prove it (but
now that it happened to me I didn't need that proof -- I was thinking there
was some disconnect between what they were seeing and what was described, I
was wrong) but I don't know what to make of it.

Can you think of anything, anywhere to point me or lend a hand?
