[imc-denmark] Fwd: Translations

Hi guys,

I ve been involved in the IMC Linksunten coverage of the NATO Summit   
in April in Strasbourg.

We ve made a ticker back then which was translated in French, German,   
English and some in Spanish and Dutch.

I think it s very important to have content in several languages in   
order to include not english speakers.

Indymedia Linksunten is as well based on Drupal   
(http://linksunten.indymedia.org/en/node/770) so I believe I can   
handle the translation modul already.

I would like to coordinate the translation crew a little bit ahead of   
the summit. Translation can be done from all over the world.   
Coordination during the summit could be realised in IRC channels (e.g.  
  #cop15-es, #coop15-de, #coop15-fr, etc.)
but we must spread the word about the possibilty of translation   
beforehand to gather volunteers. I think I could set up a little group  
  of people willing to translate english - spanish during the summit.  
I  can facilitate contact to volunteers of translating english to  
german.


Is there already a group dealing with the translation issue or has it   
not been discussed so far?
