Hi global, hi list subscribers!

| one reason to set up the list was the need for a possibility to
contact other

never so much

project (like
| the translation tool).
Well, there were input and the old spip-indy-based dispatch system but
none of them ever got mature. Also, I remember that there were several
attempts to reach other people and encourage them to join. However, they
were not too effective.
| at the moment there are 11 members and 6 digested members subscribed on
| imc-dispatch.
|
| one of the main things til now was to prepare and collect resources for
| future dispatch work, which is collected now on the twiki. but it's not
| finished and not updated since nov 2003. if everyone on this list
feel, that
| there is at the moment no need on a dispatch working group, than the list
| should get rid of. but someone should update the twiki - maybe with a
sentence
| that there was this list running for one year without use.
Yeah, you're right about adding such a note. I added the following:
"PLEASE NOTE: This working group is no longer active. The mailing list
has been removed. For now, the Wiki pages of this working group will
only remain as an archive of information. If you would like to revive
this project, please get into touch with one of these people:
~ * AlsteR
~ * (your name here)
"
Everyone interested in a revival is encouraged to add their names to
this list by simply editing the page. I hope everyone is ok with this.
If not, just change it.

| the other question is if ppl are interested in dispatch system,
working group,
| or discussions in future times? should we think how we can start without
| mailinglist? it was not easy to inform others ...
My intention is to concentrate on the input system. If this (or any
other system) ever becomes mature enough to be used in production then
this might be a good time to revive the working group. I think the
collection of documents we made will - although already outdated - still
serve as a good basis for a possible future dispatch working group or
just people interested in the process of dispatching.
