Boston IndyMedia - DNC Meeting Minutes

Convergence Center
Have dispatch telephone line installed and active, number is: 617-266-1697
Walkthrough for IMC is Monday at 11:30am.
Opens Sunday July 25th for setup of Dispatch/Public Terminals & Radio
Dispatch desk will be open daily during the DNC from 8am-9:30pm

Boston Social Forum
Facilitator meeting Monday at 3pm, U-Mass Boston campus @ Taylor Center
Audio/Visual documentation meeting Wednesday evening (time to be announced)
BSF space has public internet access (18 i-macs w/ internet access & iMovie)
We need a facilitator/point-person to help manage shared access for IMCsters during this event.

CCTV
CCTV has encountered funding problems for DNC and has retracted it's offer for IMC space during the DNC
Meeting Monday July 19th @ 6:30 to discuss limited space options, air time for Video and other related topics

TecsChange
Robert & Ted are key holders. Ted is Point-person for facilitation of space.
If CCTV space falls through, TecsChange space will accomidate Video Project
TecsChange hours of operation during DNC will be 9am-9pm daily.

Space Set-up Volunteers
A list was passed around for Volunteers to work with set-up of each IMC space. This is for simple set-up of the location to the IndyMedia project. We need more than one person to help with each location! The current list is as follows:

Volunteers
There is a "Volunteer Needs" infodoc located on the Bosotn IMC Website. Editors are encouraged to post any and all volunteer needs to the site to help plug new volunteers into the various projects. 
Print project needs volunteers for each day of the DNC, but needs as many bodies as possible to help distribute on the 22nd & 23rd during morning rush-hour. Please contact point-person: Pete at PStidman at Yahoo.com

Dispatch
The Dispatch desk will be located in the Convergence Center, maybe in IMC space, maybe with Radio.
Dispatch will be staffed Mon-Friday from 8am-9:30pm.

Volunteer Shifts/Schedules
Will post schedule needs online as infodoc
Need schedule coordination for all spaces/projects

Razorwire
1 master Newswire article will be created to post all razorwire posts.
Information in current Razorwire will be converted to regular links
Razorwire will become a regular razorwire with no more than 10 line items at any one time
Daily summary of razorwire will be created and featured in center column
All Razorwire posts must use proper grammar

Guest Editor Accounts
Boston IMC Editor accounts will be given to current IMC volunteers who express interest in aiding the maintenance of boston.indymedia.org during the DNC and whom can be vouched for by another current IMC volunteer from Boston or another IMC. Guest editorial accounts are created to edit the Razorwire and Newswire, NOT the Center Column. 

Post Office Mailbox
John, Ted and Matt will talk and transfer keys/etc to facilitate daily pick-up at the postal mailbox.

Activist Media Project
Pete forwarded request by Activist Media Project to co-sponsor a video screening at the LPC on Thursday, July 29th. Concensus.

Press Pass Applications
Boston IMC will NOT provide police with examples of press pass
All IMCsters and other interested parties will be directed to the Bl(a)ck Tea Society's Convergence Center to orient themselves to the IMC DNC project.
Affiliate IMC badge will be made available to anyone who asks for one.
Photo Press Pass will be given to any/all who sign ID form, and give donation ($20 sliding scale, $5 minimum) or volunteer for IMC during this time.
Individuals who want access to TecsChange/CCTV must fill our space contract form at individual space
List of those who have signed space contract form will be posted at door for quick access
Must have IMC photo ID or other ID to gain access to TecsChange/CCTV

Next IMC-DNC Meeting is tentatively scheduled for 7:30 at the Bl(a)ck Tea Society's Convergence Center at Copley Plaza. Ted Forsyth is facilitating.

By car:
Via Mass Pike or Storrow Drive take the Copley Square exits. Turn left, 2 blocks to Boylston Street.

By Public Transportation:
Take any T Green Line train to the Copley Stop
Orange Line, exit at the Back Bay station, walk 3 blocks down to Boylston Street.
39 MBTA Bus from Forest Hills (Get off at Boston Public Library) 

Parking
Public parking is available on Sunday mornings at the Back Bay Garage. Entrances are on Clarendon Street and St. James Ave. A red coupon is available at the church for discounted parking ($3 until 1:30 p.m.).
