[IMC-Docs] Offering to help with imc-docs

Hi All,

I volunteered myself at the most recent bristol imc meeting to get involved
with the docs project.

The main reason as far as bimc is concerned is to recover the bristol pages
and get some sort of independent backup in place. That might involve some
sort of proposal to imc-docs in the future as to how smaller imc's can get
access to backup thsir own files (using twiki web's?), or perhaps a mirror
system, or simply helping out with imc-docs itself.

In addition, I'd like to offer my own tech skills to this group - I've been
maintaining linux web servers for several years now and I've set up and
maintained several twiki sites. If any help is needed, I would be happy to
help - sounds like the server is back so if someone provided me a ssh
account and access to the backup files I could look at the setup.

I tried to sign up on the imc-docs-tech list recently using my googlemail
address - mainly to see if there's anything in the archives about how much
disk space and bandwidth the docs site needs, i.e. what resources would be
needed for a mirror. I'll reapply with this address, but if anyone here
knows the answer to that maybee you could fill me in.

cheers,

mike
