[IMC-Docs] update: report about imc-brasil-tech's work on docs [2009-01-17]

The cmi-brasil-tech collective could gather these days and try to help with
the problems docs had lately. The situation now is that the latest backup from
2008-09-28 is online read-only at docs.indymedia.org, running on strummer.

We have developed some scripts to try to find out which files could be updated
from the corrupted image to the backup. We found out some patterns in TWiki's
files and are testing for date and filetype integrity. The scripts are not yet
finished, but what' been already made is available here:

We will be travelling these days, so we don't really know how the continuation
of this work will be, despite some of us are interested in keeping helping
with this.

Help is very much welcome, either with research about TWiki migration (success
cases, migration to TWiki 4 and to foswiki -- TWiki's fork, etc) or with
script writing.

Our proposal for the continuation of the work is:

1. maintain the current foswiki instalation with the backups read-only,
2. update these backups with the most data as it is possible from the
   corrupted image,
3. once this is done and people say it's ok, migrate the user's passwords to
   the new instalation.
