Hi, i uploaded a new version of the indymedia_cities module to 
cvs.drupal.org

there's no release yet, but please try out this alpha version.

This version can load any language version of the cities list 
(spanish, french etc.) and can also work with the XML version of the 
cities list (if you have PHP 5). using the XML version makes it 
easier to customize the cities list if you want to because you can 
manipulate the data structure.
