[Imc-drupal-dev] Drupal set-up

Hi everyone,

I realize that this is a development list, but since it's an Indymedia
Drupal list, I figure this would be a suitable place to send out a
request for help with that software.

Right now I'm e-mailing on behalf of the London, Ontario IMC
(london-ontario-imc at lists.indymedia.org) because we are talking about
setting up a Drupal site very soon.  We have been using dada-IMC (for
nearly two years).

(The web server that we were on ("Illich") broke down.  We were going to
have to move elsewhere by March anyway, so we're probably going to move
as soon as we can.  Before doing that we're going to look into switching
to Drupal.  In the meantime we don't have a web site.

Since none of us have worked with the Indymedia Drupal software, I have
questions -

Is it possible to import articles, comments, etc, from a previous
dada-IMC setup to a Drupal Indymedia site?
(I see this wiki page --

there isn't a clear answer there as far as I can tell)
(If the migration is possible, my next questions will be about how that
works.)

Is it possible to make a static archive copy that can be posted on the web?
(My impression from looking at this page --
https://docs.indymedia.org/view/Devel/DadaImcStaticCopy -- is that the
answer is 'yes.')

If we set up a Drupal site one or more people who are far more
technically adept than myself will be setting it up online.  I'm just
trying to establish contact with people who can offer information.  Any
help will be greatly appreciated.
