I'm using the video.module already on one of the indy sites i manage, 
and had planned to use it on a couple of others.

Is your indytube module going to treat each video as a node similar to 
the video.module?

I think a plugin to the current video.module would be good.  Just so it 
replaces the viewer section of the video nodes with the indytube viewer.

Anyhow, you're doing the work. Do it as you see fit :)
