Yer, I started to write a custom module for Drupal to use it. Well,
until I ran out of time and ended up doing other projects - as you do.
Now looking at it the problem isn't the transcoding - though it's worth
saying that the new indytube method of doing it (handing the processing
power issue elsewhere) is possibly the best for our needs.
The issue is keeping track of the media correctly in Drupal. That's
where the Media Mover API seems like it to come in as a best solution -
it could plug into any transcoding method. It could be attached to a
content-type that makes sense.... and it doesn't take all the
pain-and-technical-knowledge of previous custom types (like the video
module).
