hi, well the radio site is pretty basic. it only handles audio uploads,
no video or photos or other things on your list. probably other sites
have made more progress?

I can tell you how things work in my local imc: we don't have separate
editorial and tech collectives, we just have a web collective. at the
web meetings we all figure out together how we want to make some change
or improvement to the site, hash out as many details as we have time to
and put together a small (e.g. 3 person) team to work on the design,
mockups, development, testing, etc. a few years ago when we rebuilt our
site & codebase it was definitely a whole group effort to figure out how
the site should work and rebuild it (still an ongoing process..)
probably the way we do things doesn't work everywhere. but at least I
think it's a good mindset for everyone using the site on a daily basis
to be heavily involved in designing improvements, prioritizing what
should be worked on, etc.
