With the i18n module you chose which nodes to show when the interface
changes. One option is to only show articles that are in the language of
the present view. A really cool option comes from the additional Active
Translation module, which will show all articles in the interface
language if they exist (are translated) but will then fall back to the
original language of posting if they aren't translated (like Mir does in
fact).

Is there no language meta-data with your content in Dada. I don't know
Dada at all. I guess if not you could search on strings you expect to
find - easier as I guess your working with different alphabets?

Depends on what is really wanted but usually Views, Imagefield and the
taxonomy terms attached to the node.
