IMC scotland used the dada migration module in this bundle of modules:

http://drupal.org/project/imc_alba

It imports features, articles, comments, users, otherpress, etc. Images
and file attachments get imported as drupal upload thingies. Moderation
is imported, including reasons given for hiding stuff and so on.

Basically you put your dada usermedia in the drupal directory, and
navigate to
http://whatever.indymedia.org/admin/settings/indymedia/dadamigrate

You need database host,username,password,dbname of your dada database.
