[Imc-drupal-dev] Alternatives code-a-thon update

Sorry I couldn't make the code-a-thon.

Is the code in an accessible repository?

For Boston Indymedia we proposed setting up a repository using a
distributed source control management system, in this case git, to
hold an "Indymedia Drupal distribution, and give whoever
this list thinks should have commit privileges to it, but the real
point of having a git project is the ease of forking and merging; the
boston indymedia site will be derived from this distribution and other
new and existing Drupal Indymedia (and other independent media) sites
can likewise build and contribute back, in a more flexible manner than
Drupal.org and recipes allow (although the goal will continue to be to
contribute changes and innovations needed by Indymedia back to
Drupal.org hosted modules and even Drupal core, including the
installation profile to help it all get set up quickly)."

We'd love to build on / contribute to the Alternatives IMC in this
way, which can make the effort put in more usable by others (and
complete, for instance I see FCKEditor is missing from the wiki).

In thanks and solidarity,

benjamin
