Hello all, (and sorry for those who'll get copies of this from more than
one list, but ...)

This weekend we've got a few things going on in Cambridge. A consensus
workshop on saturday afternoon and an indymedia east anglia gathering on
the sunday. And "The Corporation" is showing at the Arts Cinema witha
special showing involving the Cambridge Action Network. All welcome to
these events (we can certainly put up a few people from out of town for
saturday night). The first two events will be at "the hut" - see the
bottom for directions.

Consensus Workshop

On saturday from 1:30pm to 5:30 pm. We have a couple of consensus
trainers coming from oxford to run an in-depth workshop on consensus
decision making and facilitation. Should be good for those wanting more
productive meetings.

Other groups are welcome (dan, can you forward to the people and planet
list).

Indymedia gathering

On sunday from 1pm we will be hosting an east anglian indymedia
gathering at the hut for anyone interested in using indymedia, at any
level. We will start with an introduction to indymedia, a (very) brief
history, and an explanation of how it works (not too techy). Then we'll
have some practical sessions about

* how to publish your news (and photos) on indymedia
* how to use the admin interface (for those who want to help do the work
that keeps indymedia going)
* how to run film showings
* how to use internet chat (irc)

and others as demanded by people who want to know, or as offered by
those with skills to share.

Then we'll talk about getting more alternative media about in the fens,
and in particular about what might be involved in setting up an
indymedia centre in norwich, or norwich and cambridge becoming indymedia
east anglia.

Both events are at "the hut" - 3 Fletchers Terrace, off Mill Rd. Coming
from town along Mill Rd, go over the railway bridge

Hope to see you at (at least) one of these

Hamish
