Mitchel Cohen on global indymedia

Mitchel's reporting from the soul of America on Election Night is incorporated in the front page main Feature article of the global indymedia website this morning. His article was originally posted among Greens and on Cyprus IndyMedia, and soon began traveling around the world. 


"The Soul of the Moment ~ Election Night, USA"

A new article by the Cyprus IndyMedia Collective blending photos from New York City IndyMedia; reporting from Brooklyn; and views from the Middle East.

It captures the celebratory multiracial unity of the moment and the deeper, more somber radical sense that the new US president-elect will have to face up to the systemic nature of Imperialism and Capitalism if  he is going to actualize the desires for Peace and Justice of all the voters who have put him in office.

The eyes of the whole world are now turned to see what direction the new US Governmetnt will take, and also eager to know what the radicals and  progressives on indymedia are saying about the new situation. This is one of "those moments" for the global liberation movement that we can't  just leave to be filled by a political vacuum.
