[IMC-Finance] [ES][EN] URGENT PROPOSAL Emergency funding for Mexican collectives for Oaxaca

Hi,

My name is Chema Hernandez Mexicatl, I am the delegate to IMC Finance  
for the Swiss collective. I have been trying to contact all the  
Mexican collectives currently now dealing with the rapidly  
deteriorating situation in the state of Oaxaca to find out what  
financial needs they might have. They are currently trying to  
organize themselves to figure out what the most urgent needs are. All  
contacted have expressed that there are some urgent needs to be dealt  
with, such as communications, transport and food. For the next few  
days, it has been estimated that for the three Independent Media  
Centers contacted (Oaxaca, DF, and Mexico) and allied collectives  
(Independent radios) that at least 1,000 dollars shall be needed (and  
I reiterate, at least).

Hence, we ask that 1,000 dollars be urgently liberated to be  
distributed to these collectives as the needs become manifest in the  
next few days. Due to the urgency of the situation, Paypal and bank  
transfers are too slow so it must be done through Western Union. This  
is very urgent since already the CML-DF has no more money for making  
phone calls, and paying for transport will very probably be a problem  
in the next few days for the other collectives.

Me llamo Chema Hernandez Mexicatl, soy el delegado a la lista de CMI  
Finanzas para el colectivo suizo. He estado tratando de comunicarme  
con los colectivos mexicanos actualmente ocupados con la situación  
oaxaqueña, que empeora cada segundo, para ver que se les ofrece en  
términos económicos. Actualmente se están reuniendo para decidir  
cuales son las prioridades. Todos los contactados están de acuerdo  
que hay necesidades urgentes que se vienen, como gastos de  
comunicaciones, transporte y comida. Durante los próximo días, se  
estima que para los tres Centros de Medios Libres contactados  
(Oaxaca, DF y México) y colectivos aliados (radios independientes)  
necesitan al menos 1,000 dólares (y tengo que reiterar que al menos).

Por lo tanto, pedimos que se liberen 1,000 dólares urgentemente para  
que se distribuyan entre estos colectivos conforme las necesidades se  
manifiesten durante los próximos días. Dada la emergencia de la  
situación, Paypal y transferencias banquarias son demasiada lentas y  
Western Union es la mejor alternativa. Es muy urgente porque ya el  
CML-DF no tiene dinero para hacer llamadas y pagar por el transporte  
será prontamente un problema para los otros colectivos.
