[IMC-Finance] cop15, a call for financial support

Hi,

After participating a bit the channels and lists being used to  
organize the media centers during the cop15 in Denmark, as well  
exchanging emails with some of the people working so hard on the  
ground in Copenhagen, as an individual within the network, I've  
decided to support the proposal put forth by Tony. I think this event  
is unique in scope, size and importance and imc-finance should help  
out if it is possible.

Normally, I would hesitate to support such an request, but as we have  
also been having funding issues here in Switzerland, I believe that  
their lack of external financial support is not exceptional at this  
time. I would nonetheless suggest that if the request is accepted,  
that the cop15 media center(s) try to continue raising funds either  
during or after the event and any surplus be sent to imc-finance so  
that it can continue to support events in places were lack of  
financial support is the norm, not the exception.

Después de participar un poco en las canales y listas de organización  
para los centros de medios durante el cop15 en Dinamarca e igualmente  
comunicarme directamente con algunas de las personas trabajando tan  
duro en Copenhague mismo, he decidido, como individuo en la red  
indymedia, apoyar la propuesta avanzada por Tony. Pienso que el  
ámbito, tamaño e importancia de este evento es único y debería imc- 
finance ayudar si es posible.

Generalmente dudara en apoyar este tipo de propuesta, pero como  
nosotrxs tambien en Suiza estamos teniendo problemas de fondos, pienso  
que su falta de fondos externos nos es excepcional. Sin embargo,  
propongo que si acepta la propuesta, que los centro(s) de medios del  
cop15 continúen recaudando fondos durante y después del evento y que  
cualquier exceso se envíe a imc-finance para que se pueda continuar  
apoyando a eventos en lugares donde siempre hay falta de apoyo  
económico.
