Hi,

Thanks for welcoming me to the IMCG8 meeting on Wednesday.

I've been plowing through the wikis relating to all this and frankly, 
if you're new to this there is a hell of a lot to get through.

So whilst I try and climb on board I thought I'd offer up my 
potential area of expertise, which might be that of a Photo Desk 
oppo. I read the "Notes on Indymedia Centre Spaces"

and I think I might have some valuable experience here, especially 
since the day to day technology has moved on a bit since June 03. 
This doesn't rule me out from doing a turn on the bar, just in case 
anyone from Cambridge is watching :-)

So if anyone's done this before and wants a junior, please get in touch!

I've also been trying to sit on the IRC sites but it's a bit of a 
mystery to me, so if there's been any odd activity or unnecessary 
blasphemy appearing under my name, well......sorry.

Finally I wrote to the G8 legal support people (who wrote the Dissent 
Guide to Scottish Law for activists) to ask if they'd answer specific 
questions relating to newsgatherers. No reply yet but I'll update 
everyone if it goes ahead.
