I was thinking that maybe post G8 there could be some sort of central
file-sharing resource or server for people to put video footage up
onto, with the intention of sharing it copyleft style, so people could
make their own documentaries based on their experiences of the G8,
rather than having just one film generated from a collective, e.g. the
Miami Model.
It might be good to have some common format agreed beforehand, e.g.
PAL DVD-Compliant MPEG2, so that people dont have to go through the
mess of converting stuff.
The first place I can think of off the top of my head is
www.archive.org, they have space for FTP stuff, I could contact them &
ask if they could give us a name space like www.archive.org/g82005 so
people could just go straight there, and they could view whats up
already, plus stuff like the tutorials for uploading material with the
ccPublisher tool, etc.
What do people think?
