[Imc-g8-2005] accomodation for Indy volunteers - task distribution for G8 stuff

Hia to all,

so far it hasn't been possible to arrange a group accomodation in Edinburgh 
for Indymedia volunteers. As we are not as many Indy Scotland people as we 
like to be, I was thinking to put up posters at Napier journalism facility 
(they do also radical and alternative journalism) to ask for the students 
providing accomodation for Indy volunteers, and also putting up posters at 
community media facilities.
Not only in Edinburgh, but also in Stirling, Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen and 
similar.

What do you think about it, do you think this would be an okay idea, or 
what suggestions would you have?

Would anybody from down south please please please make a poster and take 
on linking offers and requests together and take on this particular task 
and responsibility and offer him-/herself as an organising contact?

Also Variant has its deadline next Friday, do we want to try to get an 
advert in telling what we would need, whom to contact, what we would want 
to do around the G8 and similar?

I am not particularly good at designing, so it would be good if somebody 
else would like to want to take  on the project?

They are usually very sympathetic to Indymedia and have run several adverts 
for us and designed them themselves, but it would be helpfull this time 
maybe if someone would like to get in touch with them and coordinate?

Also I could arrange some sleeping & accomodation space for Indy volunteers 
together in one place in Edinburgh only and in my community, but my 
community is far outside Edinburgh and the transport links are very bad, or 
if I would try to get something more central, I am afraid we would need 
more funds. Any other suggestions?
