Alright,
I emailed back CitizenShift in Canada, thanked them for their
interest, and asked if there was a possibility of getting stuff
screened on public access TV over there.
I uploaded some MPEG2 PAL stuff to archive.org, but got a small error
message near the end of the upload process. I took some screenshots
and sent them to the admin, so hopefully they'll be able to iron out
any tech issues with NTSC vs. PAL. I cant imagine how there would be
any conflict, its just hosting of files.
Regarding video.indymedia.org as a dumping space for the footage, yep
why not? The more the merrier, if its spread out then there's less
chance of it getting suppressed or seized afterwards. I was just under
the impression (perhaps mistaken) that they were under a lot more
space constraints than archive.org, and so DVD files would be more of
a problem.
I'm just concentrating towards getting a DVD together afterwards,
because they're so cheap to copy up and the players are very
prevalent, plus they're good for screenings. I
Are groups like Schnews & Camcorder Guerillas interested in
participating in putting their material up for creative commons-style
sharing after the summit?
I've put in leave for the summit from work, so fingers crossed will be
able to go!
