Hi,

I don't think ab was suggesting indy pay £300 to insure these laptops!
but just pointing out that's what it cost for a year.

people up in edinburgh and other cities are working their arses off tryin
to sourcce as much kit and workspace etc etc as possible - this is one example.

so as to the 7 laptops - obviously they could be useful. the thing is to
work out if it makes sense and where they could be deployed. obviously
laptops will be useful for mobile or rural media centre stuff, but that
increases both the risk of damage (being transported around the place) and
the risk of them being nicked etc etc - so if they were to go to rural /
mobile stuff then some insurance would prob be a very good idea. Beyond
that i could see them as useful in a couple of other locations.

we'll continue looking into it and report back if it makes sense.

ciao,
dave
