[Imc-g8-2005] URGENT: Big Issue Article - deadline today/tomorrow for big article, monday for small one

Hia,

Garry yesterday proposed - or agreed to the proposal, at the meeting on  
the Outreach Point that we try to write an article for the Big Issue  
Scotland.

We have had quite good experiences with them in the past. Garry rang up  
now and said w could have even a 3 page feature on it, if we manage to do  
it till today/tomorrow, maybe even with frontpage picture (very  
enthusiastic and convincing Garry is!) or, if we are handing it in a bit  
later, like Monday, we could still have a little column.

What would we want to do?

The Big Issue is interested in having:
- a section (kinda xtra box) with the Definition of Indymedia
- history and aims (mission statement excerpts)
- Indymedia Scotland
- what indymedia are doing for the G8
- a kind of a call for participation for the protesters in Indymedia and  
how people can participate

- also related projects, like e.g. the Make Poverty History radio can be  
mentioned

Do we want to do this? I think we already have some articles and texts  
which might be usefull, whatvr the decision we should let them know soon,  
so in case we haven't got pictures or time to do the 3 page feature, they  
could re-organise their structures and plans for the next edition.
