Hi there, just putting some notes on line - 

Working groups - On Sat - 
these were the notes of things people were interested
to discuss.

Video -  video work in Edinburg – video distribution
for the duration of the summit and afterwards, legal
aspect of video collection, daily screenings.
Collecting, archiving, editing of faces. 

Audio – radio during the summit forest, and
convergence, archiving, streaming from 2 media centers
and roving media vehicles, people to do this in 3
places, editing and digitising, capturing, community
radio stations, broadcast regulations, collaborating
with other radio stations and networks, and support
and training. Posting 5 minute clips as news sections.
Podcasts. Streaming from venues. 

Content group Text: 
Additional resources / Issues – getting analyis
content on the newswire, working with other groups
doing this. 
Covering conter conferences. 


Picture desk – Improving quality of picures on
newswire, resizing cropping, helping collate it with
words, media gallery keyword searchable. Based in
ediburg but service avaible in mobile. Syndication,
legal briefings training for photographers. 

Tech -
Mobile Communications – working with the satelite team
at the convergence space and the mobile units

Static Equipment for Edinburg and Glasgow Open access
Borrowed computers for esf in london. It would be good
to get local contacts on that. 

Specific requirements of specific working groups,
audio, video, photos. 

UK website redesign proposal ready for the G8 from
Cambridge

How bandwith limitations can be put in place, how it
will work.

Mobile locations

Legal – accreditation NUJ stuff, people are working on
the warrents needed for gaining entry, there is strong
support from various groups. Scotish bust card.
Briefing is online currently. 
Identification – ethics and identification 


Features – Indymedia front page - 
Media and materials get uploaded to the uk site, and
use the admin of the uk site. 
Changing the mast head on the top. And copying the
features across to the scottish server. 
What editorial pages should be there, how should they
be set up.
Translations -

Dispatch – confirmation of reports before they go up
on indymedia as the official centre columns features.
All sorts of information text, picture, video, etc,
all of this comes together through dispatch, this
works to send people out to where they are needed. 
Subscription txt message as well – doesn't have to be
in scotland.
