Hi, here's what I've got/could bring:
1 15" powerbook G4 / 550 Mh, 768 MB RAM, 20 GB drive (mostly full)
This has 3 firewire ports if using an extra firewire PCMCIA
card, 1 firewire port if we want to use wireless internet as it doesn't
have built-in wireless
1 160 GB external hard drive to go with it (Mac HFS+ formatted, happy to
reformat)
1 pentium 4 2.8 Ghz Intel laptop, can reformat it however it'd be useful
(maybe Linux for compression, or Windows for editing although I
never edit in Windows and don't know how)
1 wireless 802.11g router, 4 ethernet ports on it (100Mb/s speed)
various networking gear, hubs and stuff
maybe a mini-disc if I can find it
1 NTSC DV camera to go with my accent
1 powered external mic for it
1 LCD monitor, 15"
Everything except the monitor fits into my backpack with the rest of my
life, so no need to worry about transport unless people want the
monitor. I have committed to being part of a mobile video team, so may
want to reserve some of this gear for that purpose, but will wait to see
how we sort ourselves out on that team before I say. Basically I am
happy to put this gear wherever it will be most useful, so I guess we
can figure it all out together over the next few weeks as things become
more clear. So, the editing gear could go to the video team, or if a
more tech-esque use can be found for the intel laptop it could go
somewhere else, doesn't matter much to me.

ps I am getting some longer DV footage of the gas-masked bagpiper from
Quebec if anybody wants to re-edit something with it, you can get a
glimpse of him on the imc-scotland banner or at the end of the
convergence video invite.
