Hello, maybe this is a good time to say hello to this list, introduce myself
and share the work we've been doing. :)

I'm drebs from imc brasil[1] and we've been working in a mir to drupal
migration which is being documented on docs[2]. We also have a live
installation (which gets resetted and updated often)[3] and a git repo[4].

The idea is to use drupal's installation profiles and the migrate module to
setup modules and content types as well as migrating the content using
drupal's api. We have already made some mapping of the database (and
successful content migration) and we're starting to model this using the
migrate model.

We'd be very happy to join efforts on working on this migration. It would
also
be very nice to hear about documentation from other successful migration
processes (from mir or other cms), criticism and ideas from those who have
already gone through a similar process,

About the drupal server, would that be a dev or production server/site? We
have a dev server that could handle more drupal dev sites. If this is the
case
and you would like to talk about this (please, confirm), contact our tech
team
on the cmi-brasil-sysadmins  lists.indymedia.org list.
