Come out this Thursday for a free showing of Invisible Children, a documentary that tells the stories of young children living in war-torn Northern Uganda, where abductions into the resistance and national armies have destroyed the lives of thousands of children.

  Invisible Children

In the spring of 2003, three young Americans traveled to Africa in search of a story. What they found was a tragedy that disgusted and inspired them. A story where children are the weapons, and children are the victims. Invisible Children exposes the effects of a 20 year-long war on the children of Northern Uganda. Children who live in fear of abduction by rebel soldiers and are being forced to fight as part of a violent army.

Join the Global Night Commute Sat, April 29th @ Rice

The film screening is part of a week of actions to promote the Global Night Commute, which will be held Saturday, April 29th at Rice University. The Global Night Commute asks members from the community to gather for one night in solidarity with the children of Uganda to raise awareness and demand that governments and the public pay attention to the issue and work with the international community to stop the abductions and stop the war.
