[imc-baghdad] Re[2]: [New-imc] Jerusalem

Hi Petros,

So IMC-Palestine's problem is technical? We have had similar problems
with our code, though I believe Jerusalem uses sf-active & we have our
own slash based code (Madrid is the only other IMC using our code).

That said, I agree with Petros that there is a problem with IMCs set
up from outside, especially with what happened in Prague (though it is
a local collective now) and what is happening with Baghdad. With
Jerusalem, I was a little more active on New-IMC then so I do remember
Bilal working closely with some north americans, but mainly with local
groups and also having discussions with IMC-Israel's collective.

Tech is a problem in all countries, as we have seen with Switzerland's
need to have hosting from outside the country. Tech is not so much an
issue of local outreach and organizing. I am not on any tech lists,
so I do not know the global process for getting things fixed. With an
all volunteer group, it does take time. We may need to have rotating
sort of "on call" tech volunteers to handle issues such as the
publishing code breaking in not only their local IMC, but for any IMC
that uses their code. Again, I'm not in the tech collective, so this
may have already been discussed globally. I know we have been
discussing it in Philadelphia for resolving issues here.

PE> I'm including a copy of this letter to 2 imc groups in
