Hi Paula,

Sorry for the late response, but other matters on the NM list etc.

I'm very interested in getting back doin' audio recording of stuff, but
since the md broke in July, I'm still looking for a good digital recorder.
So, until then, I'm afraid I'll have to be somewhat of a lurker.

Great potential here though:-).

jd and myself were quite interested in getting audio of this:

If Kev's around I don't know if hed be interested in that sorta thing?

I've got a few ideas, but I'm probably better off putting them forward when
I've got time to follow through my own end of the action.

I'm thinkin' that there could be more interviews - not of the celebrity
type, but where the story leads.

e.g., one year on from the Irish Ferries march, most of the workers are now
replaced with cheap labour. Except, they've signed contracts not to
comment. It would be good if someone could find one willing to do an
interview, and they could ask how they've been treated...

I'd re-double efforts to get a sound machine quick, if such a person could
be found and no-one else wanted to do the interview. Picture +written intro
as well as audio and (maybe) transcript, at least synopsis = feature.

I'm thinkin' we should be puttin' out what we think is interesting. Even if
we try to second guess the audience, news mightn't be best served by givin'
them what they want.

More generally, our audience is anyone who uses google, so the news should
speak for itself, and be proud.

I see the best links here as being with outreach at start, and features
(hopefully) at end. However, I've joined neither list meself, yet, so not
able to gauge yet.

Another useful function, of course, is co-ordination of coverage of big
events, including a HQ type function where people can call a particular
number for stuff to be written up during a demo etc. However, with mobile
phones going online etc. now, that role maybe shortlived.

Agreed.

Any feedback and thoughts would be very welcome,

Nice intro :-),
