Subject: [Imc-jhb] Indymedia JHB workshop, 28 April

Indymedia is an international network of activist media centres that produces news and information on the movements resisting the ruin of globalisation. The Johannesburg node in this network opened in 2001 after the World Conference Against Racism, with support from Khanya College. Since Khanya's move to the present premises on Pritchard Street, Indymedia has not had the use of office space and activities of the organisation have scaled back. The Indymedia Johannesburg workshop on Saturday the 28 th of April will try shape the vision for a revived media centre and plan the centre's activities for the rest of the year. Organisations that are being formally invited are: Khanya College, Sounds of Edutainment, Creative Workers Union of SA, FXI, Imbawula Trust, and APF Media.

Please say if you'll join the session to bring down the stupidity of pop culture and corporate media.
