On November 13, Sharon Lockhart, Tom Klammer, Chuck Munson, Jan Hoyer,
and Frank Neff met to talk about making KCIndymedia function.

A lot of ideas were presented. A top concern was increasing the
involvment of other organizations and people in the enterprise. We
would like to get a system by which people from other activist groups in
the community would have links on our site so that a couple of sentences
about their current work could attract people to go to their sites to
get details. Jan hopes to promote multimedia material.

We named a number of features we think we ought to have, especially
whenthey are linked to local community groups and events.

       Iraq
       Administration of higher education
       School of the Americas
       Report on the Sabeel Conference
       Gentrification
       Public transport - light rail
       The Red Bridge bridge
Village Church expansion at 99th Street
Developments around Crate & Barrel at 119th and Roe
       The bridge in Fairway
       Tax Increment Financing
       Gay Lesbian Task Force conference
       The Lawrence anti-war group
       Military families
       Drummers recent performance
Health of workers in the 9/11 vicinity
       Ray McGovern

We agreed on a number of assignments. I have heard that Sharon is
trying to contact a person to write about the Gay Lesbian conference.

Chuck was contacted by a Lawrence activist who is interested in working
with us. He also suggested to people in a Code Pink meeting that they
post stuff on our site.

I have contacted Judy Ancel for suggestions of UMKC faculty to contact
for finding students interested in our work. I also talked with the
Brodskys about possible people. They have provided information about
someone who may be interested.

I hope that more of our core group will pick up a way of working on the
dual goals of more people and more material for the site.

Please let all of us know what you are doing and what progress you are
mking.

Frank Neff
