I agree that this has to be discussed at maybe the next editorial collective meeting.  We
have informally discussed this in the past but with no consensus.
 
I had initially thought that editing out content would be acceptable.  But I have since
changed my mind because of others' views on this matter.  
 
But I do agree with Jason, for now it should be up to each individual password holder to
make the decision for themselves.

The main reason I'm concerned is that I don't know what you deleted. I
mean, how do I know what you really deleted? One way to be more
transparent would be to cut and paste what one has deleted into this
e-mail list, in the future, so that all of us can see what's been done. 
But, that's just my suggestion and has no group weight behind it.

So, to the editorial collective, add this to your discussions if you can
so we can have a clear policy on deleting content.

Thanks everyone for hanging in there through all of this and I think we're
