On August 30, 2006, over 20 poets will gather at the Casa del Popolo in
Montreal in a unique event entitled Poets Against War. Originally
conceived by artist/musican Norman Nawrocki, the event will bring together
poets from various communities in the city to read pieces in English,
French, Arabic, and Urdu. In this report, we speak with some of the poets
participating in this event, and talk about the force of words in the face
of war.
This report features the voices of Seth Porcello, Daniele Oanes, Stephen
Anjam, Trish Salah, Norman Nawrocki, and Saul Williams.
