I woke up from dreaming this morning and thought, better write it down.
I've shortened the original handwritten draft as much as I could.

I propose reading the following at the end of tomorrow's show:

and finally, the IndyMedia London Newswire Show is being rested by the
station management over the summer: this has only happened once before,
during the onset of the war in Iraq in 2003. This time we believe there
are no political motivations, only a desire for us to return rested and
bounding with energy in the autumn. This we hope to do.

Here in Britain we too live in servitude and slavery: a gilded cage
admittedly. But motorists in their cars on the road to the supermarket--
knowing not what they do, feeling they have no choices, anaesthetised by
the mass media and the greedy cries of their children--might have a life
that many envy, but they are trapped just the same.

My own profession--the doctors--famously had their mouths chocked with
gold as the socialists tried to buy health to give to the people. A
mouth chocked with gold is an uncomfortable thing: many adjustments and
dishonesties happen along the way as the corners are cut and the
compromises are made. In England the middle classes are literally that:
the class that interposes capitalist rule on the people, following
capitalist rules. For the many sins of omission here and elsewhere I
have committed I apologise and beg your mercy.

Truly free communication is the only hope. I know many artists--using
the term in its very broadest sense--listen to the show. To you I offer
a slogan: activate, gronkulate, put capitalism down. Gronkulation,
simultaneously acting for the world we want to see, while behaving as
though it is here already, and documenting that in the richest way
possible is humanity's only chance of survival, so do your best.

Well, the summer schedule has set us free to gronkulate to our hearts'
content. We hope to be back in the autumn, or maybe we'll have set up
our own station. Either way, thanks for listening, and keep posting your
stories to the indymedia websites worldwide. Don't hate the media: be
the media!

or maybe not? Do tell me if I'm absurdly grandiose. I think I should say
something about us going off air anyway.

Now, on with the show.

Dave's promised me stories later today. Hoora! A readthrough! Luxury!

Zoe's coming in, and she's got a nice story about some clowns sabotaging
a nuclear missile <http://www.defensetech.org/archives/002531.html>

That's it so far. I'm off to surf for some audio bitz.
