Not a lot of great audio out there this week.
Hope the stories are good.
Soph's back, doing the cycling weather, to be followed by an interview
with Des Kay, the FoE-backed cyclist who won in the High Court against
the Met yesterday.
All a bit thin...
I've axed the valedictory. Instead:
and finally, the IndyMedia London Newswire Show is being rested by the
station management over the summer: this has only happened once before,
during the onset of the war in Iraq in 2003. This time we believe there
are no political motivations, only a desire for us to return rested and
bounding with energy in the autumn. This we hope to do.
How to end? I'll just leave it to Deepa Fernandez, the host of a show
called "Wakeup call" on WBAI New York. She was speaking at the 8th
Allied Media Conference in Ohio last week, and the recording was first
broadcast on the Pittsburgh IndyMedia show on Rustbelt Radio. Thanks for
listening.
[track 3:06] It's a bit parochial in the way the Americans so often are
(though Fernadez has an antipodean accent) but it's quite passionate and
clear.
Bed time for me though
D.
