[Imc-london-audio] Proposal for the 17th of May show to come from IMEMC

Hello everyone
I have spoken to Planet and Dougie,and propose that on the 17th of May we
broadcast a news and ananlysis program from IMEMC in Beit Sahour instead of the
usual Indy News wire show. 
This would also give the regular team a break : ) 
 I did ask Resonance if we could broadcast at another time, but they are fully
booked and feel that the easiest way for us to air as a one off,is to occupy
the wednesday hour. 
 The proposal is to make a talk show  about what is realy going on here with  a
panel of  Palestinan experts from  across various areas of society here in
Palestine. 
The people who we have in mind are the following: Jeff Halper from the Campaign
against House demolitions, Ghassan Adonis who is head of the physics department
at Bethlehem University, who was a co-founder of ISM, Saed Banora, journalist
at IMEMC who was permanently paralysed when the Israeli army shot him 15 times
when he 16 years old whilst writing graffiti. A local farmer  called Ata whose
village is being surrounded by the wall.  Nablus Union activist, prisoner
solidarity activist Magdi as well as  Gaza Journalist Rami Soureni, Neta Golan
the media officer for ISM Palestine and Jaed Isael the head of the  Jerusalem
applied research institute to discuss the environmental costs of occupation.
We also have a Palestinan pop star as well : ) to sing 

I feel it is important to get some good analysis of the  actual situation here
broadcast to a uk audience the immensity and costs to Palestinans from  
settlement expansion and the walling in of villages is just not being conveyed
accurately in the main stream media so I really feel it is important to make
this broadcast.
