We've got bright sunshine in the capital this afternoon with fresh
moderate northerly winds, so allow an extra couple of minutes for any
northward journey. Particulate air pollution is again recorded as high
at the monitoring station in Horn Lane, so if you live in Ealing, try
not to breathe to much. Out west at Earith the Bexley 4 particulates are
moderate, and the Brixton Road's showing moderate nitrogen dioxide levels.

London's Critical mass took place last Friday. The event at the end of
May is traditionally the highlight of the year, with fine weather and a
long daylit evening to enjoy, and this one was no exception. About 500
riders enjoyed a central London route starting out over Blackfriars
Bridge before doubling back to Parliament Square and then Soho. There
was one arrest when a cab driver who had earlier driven straight at the
mass, braking at the last second, then allegedly hit a cyclist on Great
Marlborough Street. Unfortunately, that cyclist was a police officer.

The peaceful enjoyable atmosphere was soon restored.
