[Imc-london] Indy meeting...

Hello All

Was there a meeting this week? If so can we get 
some minutes and if not shall we have another 
soon - so we can talk about a few issues...

Some minutes from last meeting - didn't take notes but from memory:

* We talked about the UK site 'Comments proposal' 
which is now active on the site see the feature 
on UK - this is an attempt to reduce the impact 
of disruptive comments whilst stil keeping them 
visable for transparency. See UK process or 
features list for the debate around this.

* We talked through the Calendar update proposal 
that Yossarian and others are working on, 
basically the calendar is still the same as when 
we set up the first site in 2000 - it is well 
used but not user friendly - there are a few 
options, from total redesign and software update 
to cleaning up existing page. If you are 
interested in giving help or input there is a

* We talked briefly about the "promoted newswire' 
idea - where there would be options avilable for 
local imc's to decide on a variety of newswires. 
Ie. in London we could have the UK newswire and 
London one showing, or London and the 
environmental one... etc needs discussion - which 
is goingon on features and process list. It would 
be good if we could discuss more and  get an 
answer/proposal back to the Uk lists.

* I think we mentioned some ideas of what to 
spend money on but can't remember ideas... John?

On that same note the Bookfair money made it into the Bank account

I put in £1200
Have some petty cash (coins) for emergency
We owe the Uk account £581 doantion (andi can you do this?)
and we had £132 in the account

So we should have £751 to spend / save / etc

So for next meeting: can i suggest we meet next 
week Wednesday 30th November - our 6th birthday - 
to talk about the promoted newswire and updating 
london links (if any tech can sort the relevant 
pages in advance that would be great - ie. a 
london MS template / contact template /  or we 
can link to Uk pages for now rather than having 
deadlinks - Jordi can you remember how we did the 
last one? i can't)

And in future - to save any confussion about 
meetings can we send proposals for agendas to 
this list in advance - if there is nothing then 
there is no need for a meeting - but always the 
possibility of a social.
