Looks a well put together proposal with the added bonus that the kit will
hopefully immediately be put to good permanent use afterwards. I get very
frustrated whenever I hear that here in UK, various kit gets bought out of our
limited funds for special occasions and then slowly diffuses away afterwards -
mics, minidisk players etc that are never seen or heard of again. One is left
assuming that it becomes people's personal property which isn't how it should
be.

Is there any info on how much of a dent this makes to the network fund?
