Hi doug,

yep - direct to site is best, or to other sources where you know it'll work.

in your case re mms and g20, there was a human, not technical reason,
for failure to publish that won't be repeated. other mms photos were
sent via other routes and ended up on the site. the new mobile gateway
for publishing to lon will be up n running though as well.

cheers,
dave

>> Hi,
>>
>> I've been chatting to a few people about planning coverage of the
>> london climate camp starting next week (wed 26th) and wanted to send
>> an update.
>>
>> Imc london folks are setting up an Indymedia dispatch / reporting
>> telephone line, starting on the first day of the camp, which includes
>> the taking of the site.
>>
>> The numbers are being sorted and will be published on london + uk site
>> and publicised on email lists, twitter etc etc
>>
>> Importantly they will also be printed onto little flyers for physical
>> distro at camp. Obviously this is encouraging publishing to the local
>> london imc site, but it's intended that coverage will link to all diy
>> produced media.
>>
>> The little flyers + published stuff will also have info on submitting
>> MMS (pics/video), text via sms, on using specific tags if publishing
>> in other places, as well as publishing via the mobile version of indy
>> london which is currently live but beta testing.
>>
>> The focus on mobile is due to the fact that there will be little
>> public access provision at the camp. As you'll have seen however, imc
>> northern have sorted a load of kit and will be providing some net
>> connected laptops running on renewables for this purpose.
>>
>> As with previous years there's also a 'documenting the camp' group.
>>
>> It's worth noting too that the cc media team will be facilitating some
>> photo publishing. Vision-on TV will be facilitating video along with
>> climate tv. And the radio crew will be rocking too :)
>>
>> There's gonna be at least one imc / be the media workshop at the camp
>> afaik.
>>
>> fyi - mainstream media site policy allows more access that previoius

>> More later...
