The wiki isn't responding right now, so I'm sending the minutes here
only. I'm leaving town tonight, so can someone put it on the wiki when
it's back? Thanks
*The next meeting will take place on 14th July, 8pm, Royal Festival
Hall, meet in Green Area, Level 3, Door G*
* Upcoming Events:
** Climate Camp London 27.08 - 03.09
** Reclaim the Future 05.09
** DSEI 06.-11.09
* DSEI:
we don't know much yet, except that not many people will be in London at
the time. Some ideas where floating around, including doing workshops at
Climate Camp. We need to find out more and then the people who are
actually around for it should talk about what to do.
* RTF:
is happening. If they ask for film screenings, we can pass on the
request to Ciname Libre. We would like to do a stall and workshop if
enough people are up for it.
* Climate Camp:
** no Satellite Van, no bigger plan. Some people are working on and
promoting barrios to provide for their own internet access. As it's a
city camp, access to the internet shouldn't be the main problem.
** email to UK was not send, next attempt now. Is anyone up for it? Are
people coming? What do they want to do?
(note by minute writer: we also said to book Larc, I assume this hasn't
happened yet either?)
** we want to have a new form of timeline, a ticker that provides easily
accessible and reliable info of what's going on.
** We should have a how to IMC London text, explaining how people can
make their own news on Imc London most effectively. Who will write one?
** We'd like to have a background/content feature on the frontpage, so
people can learn something about the reasons for the protests. Ask
Climate Camp media team to provide one?
** We want to have a newswire with the feed of the Climate Camp Press
Releases straight on the frontpage?
** Someone is going to the next meeting in London on 18th/19th July
** we could organise things by a crabgrass committee again
* Hyperactive:
now available on the go. Big hurray for the new mobile friendlyness of
the site.
We discussed having a "mobile quick upload" facility, basically a place
for people to dump media directly from their phones during actions. We
like the idea, but needs some more thought.
Navigation on the site needs some thought and work done.
* Moderator Process has been agreed
* Network Meeting: we're not too comfortable hosting it, but an email
will be sent proposing a date.
* we had a longish discussion about accessibility/inclusivity which I
didn't take notes of and don't feel qualified to summarise. Please add
and amend. The general issues included: who is part of the London
collective? How can Imc London be inclusive to people with
responsibilities that might prevent them from going to regular meetings?
Many issues were raised, but not discussed in depth.
* The next meeting will take place on 14th July, 8pm, Royal Festival
Hall, meet in Green Area, Level 3, Door G
