Dear ANAK TV SEAL Juror:

The Anak TV Seal derby is growing. The entries are doubling. National
interest in it is expanding.

This year, significant changes will be introduced. We will continue to
conduct screenings in various parts of the country. However, most of the
evaluation screenings will be held in the comfort of jurors’ homes. Jurors
like yourself will be asked to put in work during your own free time.
Consequently, we will not rely on network entries alone. Assessment will be
made longitudinally, rather than based on one or two episodes sent by the
network.

An Anak TV Seal College of Anak TV Seal Jurors will view programs. This will
be a collegial body that does not meet as a group but will be in touch
through phone, fax and snail mail and/or electronic mail. We will also start
an e-group for the jurors soon. Opinions, comments and suggestions about TV
programs in particular, and local TV programming in general, will be
discussed freely.

Those without access to the Internet or who are not computer savvy will
still be served by post. The important thing is to constantly be in touch. A
newsletter might be an idea we will consider, funds permitting.

At the end of every quarter,jurors will make their individual nominations or
jury decisions about programs they monitored and assessed. This will be
disclosed to the entire College, which in turn will either concur or refute
the decision. We will elect a board of elders who will arbitrate during
instances of fierce debate or a stalemate.

The foundation will announce winners quarterly. This way, programs will
continue to be on air because they were honored early enough. The yearend
awarding ceremonies will be a formality to honor all awardees for the year.
