Hi btm,
I guess we're going to have to discuss it. I for one have appreciated
your stepping forward, knowing that it wasn't likely to be easy. But
obviously the situation has now changed dramatically.
I don't personally believe that anything will induce Bart to lift his
block - he's obviously committed to an adverse attitude to our
collective. Similarly, I doubt he'll step aside, and it would be a
violation of process for him to be forced to step aside. Therefore I
doubt we'll get through the new-imc group anytime this year, whatever
kinds of reflection we engage in.
I suspect that the only way we'll now get confirmed as an IMC is by
directly appeal to global process, based on the fact that we are already
an IMC, and have been since before the new-imc collective was conceived.
But these are just my own opinions. I guess we need to have *another*
urgent IRC meeting to try to flesh-out how we want to respond to this
situation. What's certain is that I can't face two or three 2-hour-long
IRC meetings per week for the rest of the next year, while we struggle
to address Bart's incoherent (and often offensive) objections.
Anyway, thank you for the work you've put in (I did warn you that there
might be difficulties...)
