[Imc-mayday-collective] Indymedia UK lists / imc-process

Those that maintain & and run the Indymedia UK website ( 
https://www.indymedia.org.uk/ ) with features and an open publishing newswire 
wish to keep producing features and have continue with open publishing 
newswire. They use email lists hosted by http://lists.indymedia.org/ to co-
ordinate this.

Others including those in London Indymedia wish to change what to appears on 
indymedia.org.uk front page.

So an agreement was made soem months ago that those who ran Indymedia UK 
website would form a new collective with a new website with links from old 
site and also links to new aggregator page that others wished to have, but it 
was going to take a while to set up new site, it was hoped this would happen 
by 1st May. First the new collective now known as Mayday Collective would go 
through new-IMC process based on previous experiences of groups with this 
process it was hoped this would only take a few weeks but it has been delayed 
as new-imc process has asked for more from the collective and negotiations 
taken place, so transferring to new site has been delayed.

London Indymedia had asked global Indymedia listwork group to close email 
lists used to admin indymedia.org.uk but while there are indymedia volunteers 
still using those list it would be good for them to remain open.

So can I hope Indymedia Scotland can help by blocking the closure for time 
being until the new Mayday collective is established as new Indymedia group 
with a functioning website.

I have already texted all those Indymedia Scotland editors who I had mobile 
numbers for, about this, but only just now got back online.

My online access is limited.
