Alternatively we could have a forum instead.

This has the advantage of more anonymity and a clearer layout 
based on topics. Though it would need moderation and potentially 
be quite a bit of work if it became popular we could eventually 
offer such a job to regular, reliable looking users etc.

Or how about the Indy matchmaker service? We could match people up 
based on their list of favourite IMC topics: Come and meet the 
anarchist of your dreams.... OK I'm getting carried away now - 
only kidding with that one :) But a forum has potential.
