I am considering sending this to communication, so that it is clear what
the consequences of the sanctions are likely to be.
Let them not claim that they weren't aware afterwards....
am open to thoughts

I note that IMC London [1] continues to seek to turn global process into a
bureaucratic, authoritarian network that seeks to use sanctions in order
to enforce compliance.
I note further that they ignore the Mayday call for a return to consensus
which could be achieved by ensuring affiliation of Mayday and Sheffield
collectives.[2]
I also note that there is still no offer of a permanent url to rehome the
uk national open publishing Indymedmedia newswire to.
The most likely scenario that would result from implementation of these
London proposals is that lists and a wiki would be set up by Mayday at
indymedia.org.uk to ensure the communication needs of the group. An
alternative #irc provider would be identified. Mayday would thereafter
have no reason to return to a negotiating table with the collectives from
Be The Media.
I urge those IMCistas outside of the dispute to exercise great caution in
this matter and to avoid damaging the network by accommodating such POU
busting, authoritarian demands..
