Corporate media's coverage of news and the election is so bad, it's not even
funny. So we decided to make it funny.
We asked ourselves: how low can election coverage sink? The answer we came
up with is hilarious - and terrifying.
Watch "Debating For Ratings" now at http://www.debatingforratings.com .
Next, pass this along to everyone you know who likes to laugh and would like
better journalism, less commercialism, and higher quality entertainment.
Then, sleep well, knowing you've helped build the media reform movement. In
the midst of one of the most important elections in decades, the broadcast
and cable networks continue to insult our intelligence by reporting not on
the issues, but on Dan Rather, Swift Boats, daily poll numbers and campaign
strategies. And TV stations are laughing all the way to the bank - they'll
rake in a record $1.5 billion from campaign ads, while offering less and
less substantive coverage.
We need to spread the word far and wide: our media is undermining our
democracy, and we must demand better. Be sure to pass this on - and thanks
for helping the movement grow!
Sincerely,
Josh Silver
