hey midwest media activists,
The midwest social forum is 5 days away and we're yet to pull
together a media production plan but it's definitely not too late.
Room 143 and 147 of the UWM Student Union building will be set aside
for grassroots media production, including a secure dedicated phone
line for live radio, ethernet ports all over the place, and the
lovely, no-windows-to-gaze-out-because-the-computers-provide-enough-
glow ambience.
it'll also be a secure space that can will be locked from midnight to
8am, so media activists will be forced to get some sleep for once
instead of just editing their damn videos or audio pieces.
a white board will be in place for people to announce what kinds of
projects they're working on. i'll be around to help get audio and
video snippets published to the MWSF website.
and don't forget there are 11 media-related workshops and sessions
http://www.mwsocialforum.org/taxonomy/term/31/9
including the Midwest Independent Media Caucus on Thursday from 1pm
to 7pm:

I was also hoping to get together a schedule for people who would
want to help ensure presence in the media space from 10am-12am
Friday, 9am-12am Saturday, and 9am-5pm Sunday.
Let me know how you want to be involved. There's a lot of room for
people to step forward on this.
solidarity,
Kevin
