Atty. Weinglass was the first recipient of the Clarence Darrow award in 1974, and in 2004 the American Trial Lawyers Assn voted to name an annual award after him, The Leonard I. Weinglass Award, honoring lawyers who contribute to human rights and civil liberties causes.
